For many years, this painting was the backdrop of our morning goodbyes as everyone left for school.  It saw the first ever days of school and the last for almost a decade. It saw toothless smiles and nervous tears as well as projects and "show and shares" dragging behind these little creatures as they walked down the driveway. It witnessed the relief of a tired mom that finally found a moment of calm and freedom but was secretly missing them already.
