'Eight', is a 24'x 36' acrylic on canvas, showcasing one of the most magical ages of childhood. This work embodies the raw innocence and curiosity of an eight year old as well as the total transformation into their unique self. The composition is characterized by overlapping colors and textures of soft greens, blues and deep purples- along with expressive brushstrokes and swirling lines, suggesting a sense of uninhibited exploration, boundless energy and playfulness as well as a discovery of self.  Delicate swirling lines suggest childlike scribbles and doodles- spontaneous expression while unexpected more bold floral strokes speak to unexpected growth- both physically and emotionally.
